strong sense of community, a place to practice yoga in a warm, inviting,
nurturing and encouraging environment. Our teachers offer yoga instruction
and classes that are authentic, safe and appropriate for all ranges of
ability and experience. Our classes offer both the comfort of consistency as
well as the opportunity to deepen your practice and explore!
Yoga is for everyone! Women & men, girls & boys, old & young.
Everyone and anyone can benefit from yoga. Education about the healthy
physical and mental benefits of yoga is a cornerstone of our center. Yoga
assists with the integration of body and mind. It’s an excellent way to
exercise our body and mind, so we stay healthy physically and mentally.
Valley Yoga is a community anchored in friendship, openness,
tolerance and a willingness to embrace change. The atmosphere is fun and
uplifting, with community events and activities to further build and
strengthen our community.
Valley Yoga positively and constructively interacts with the
community the center operates. We conduct activities to build and grow a
strong sense of community.
Valley Yoga will export the benefits of yoga to commercial,
social, non-profit, governmental and healthcare organizations as a means to
increase employee moral, productively and creativity.

HIP & HAMSTRING OPENERS WORKSHOP
Saturday, April 23, 2011; 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Taught by: Jessica Berger, RYT, R.N.
$25; Pre-registration is requested. Click
HERE to register online.
This energizing flow-yoga sequence designed to strengthen and stretch the
hips and hamstrings uses a challenging but attainable sequence to warm the
muscles and then moves on to showcase floor poses that stretch tight
hamstrings and hips. Be prepared to sweat a little and stretch even more.
There are many reasons people experience tight hips and hamstrings which
lead to low back & knee pain and poor posture among others. Some factors are
environmental like long shifts at desk jobs or running long distances and
some are anatomical how your bones are shaped and structured.
This special workshop will take a deeper look at your unique anatomy and
then apply that to a variety of stretches and modifications for opening
tight hips and hamstrings. Addressing one's unique individual anatomy first
is the initial step to freeing these problem areas. You will gain both
relief and a new understanding to take into a regular yoga practice or for
stretches at home.
