HIP & HAMSTRING OPENERS WORKSHOP
Saturday,  April 23, 2011; 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Taught by: Jessica Berger, RYT, R.N.
$25;  Pre-registration is requested. Click HERE to register online.

This energizing flow-yoga sequence designed to strengthen and stretch the hips and hamstrings uses a challenging but attainable sequence to warm the muscles and then moves on to showcase floor poses that stretch tight hamstrings and hips. Be prepared to sweat a little and stretch even more.

There are many reasons people experience tight hips and hamstrings which lead to low back & knee pain and poor posture among others. Some factors are environmental like long shifts at desk jobs or running long distances and some are anatomical how your bones are shaped and structured.

This special workshop will take a deeper look at your unique anatomy and then apply that to a variety of stretches and modifications for opening tight hips and hamstrings. Addressing one's unique individual anatomy first is the initial step to freeing these problem areas. You will gain both relief and a new understanding to take into a regular yoga practice or for stretches at home.
