We are a Timber Framing company dedicated to barn preservation through reuse.

Our mission at Berkshire Barns, Inc. is simple:  Save our nations barns so that future generations may enjoy them. Reusing old barns is not a new idea. In fact, some of the old barns we dismantle had already been dismantled and rebuilt once before, perhaps 100 years ago. While some barns were simply dragged to another part of the farmers property by a team of horses, fully intact, others where completely disassembled, moved timber by timber to their new sight, then rebuilt. Every barn has a story and through the process of reclaiming an old barn, if that story can be uncovered, your barn frame is no longer just another wooden structure, it is a visible, tangible piece of American history.

We locate old barns which are unwanted, yet still structurally sound enough to be given a new life. We then look for someone like you to give the barn a new home. Once we successfully match an old barn to a new owner we carefully document, label, dismantle and deliver the barn to its new home for reassembly.
