ArtStar:: A Creative Arts Lounge-Announcing events planned for Feb. and March

Kids and Parents-Group Art Making Workshop Thursdays 3:30-5:00 (ages 6 -12)
 Come make art together! Each week you will experience a different project to collaborate on as a pair or with the group. Sculpture, Mural work, art games are examples of the fun projects planned. No experience necessary. A great way to connect with your child and get your creativity going new places. 2 week sessions  (2/14 and 2/28)( 3/6 and 3/13)(3/20 and 3/28) $35 per parent/child pair, $5 to add a sibling - per 2 week session ($70 per month)

Weekend Family Art Workshop 
Offered last Sundays of the month 2:30-4
Bring the family and make art together! Your kids will be truly excited about making art with you and what a wonderful way to make memories. We will do projects that celebrate the family. And you go home with something to cherish that captures your own special family dreams, traditions, and history. No experience or artistic talent necessary- just have fun together. $10 Adults $6 Kids ( kids under 2 are free). $35 limit per family-limit of 4 families Materials included. 

WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS

Women's Art Journaling
Thursdays 6:30-9
Meet weekly to create art in a journal. Work with the wide variety of materials and techniques the studio has to offer in a social environment. We will choose themes, use dreams, wishes, poetry, writing and collage to create beautiful books. And it's a wonderful way to be creative anywhere-your own portable studio! You will need to purchase a journal - I recommend a spiral bound book with heavy weight paper (75-90lb. watercolor paper is preferable). The 9x12 Canson All-Media Book which is about $25 is a great way to start. Smaller is ok too. Fee $ 150 for 6 weeks (workshop is on- going, you may join at anytime- but you must pre-register-not a drop-in group)

Individual & Group Art-Inspiration
Want to give yourself, your child, your friends some special art time. Schedule a regular art time at ArtStar. Explore different materials, focus on one particular medium to gain skill or build confidence. Work towards a goal, create a gift or build a portfolio! You deserve it! Great for Moms Groups! Individuals$45 per (1, 1/2 hour) or $200 for 5 (1, 1/2 hour sessions)

ArtStar After School Art Classes 
Wednesdays 3:15-5:00PM
(HCCharter Public School 3:00 pick up)
5 week sessions $150- with additional materials fee for Session III Ages 8 and up Max class size - 6 Charter school kids will be picked up at the school at 3 and walked over to ArtStar A light healthy snack will be provided- please advise of any allergies in registration form. Registration forms can be requested from ArtStar/ payment via Paypal or mail in. Hilltown Cooperative Charter Public School students can pick up/drop off forms with payment at the HCCPS main office. Session l- Sculpture and Group Art Making . Your child will experience group art making through art and creative writing games. A focus on social skills, teamwork and identifying ways to express and fulfill individual needs within a group are explored through these experiences. We will make masks with various materials including cardboard, plastic, paper, fabric, yarn, paint and more. Your child will work with the group to build a group totem pole and prepare works for a group show. Each artist will be encouraged to prepare an artist statement to accompany their work. Group Show to be held following last day of session.

5/27 - Week 5 -finish projects and prepare for show 

ArtStar Classes for Home School Groups! 

Students will explore materials and techniques that are fun, challenging, incorporate learning about different cultures, math, writing, science and history. What a great way to learn! Fee is $60 per student per month. Each Monday 12:30-2:30 students will receive arts workshops at ArtStar. A one month commitment is required. There is a limit of 5 students per workshop- ages 10 and up. Looking for an art program for a group of younger home schoolers? Call to discuss. 

* $60 per month (3 or 4 or 5 weeks)

* material fee varies by month depending on projects- generally $10-15 per student-you may already have all you need at home for some projects. 

May- Fibers/Printmaking-We will explore making art with natural fibers such as felt, yarn, fabric and paper.
